WRAP for Private Agency Placements

If you represent a licensed private adoption agency in California we can assist you when you are making the placement of a child in our primary geographic service areas. This includes Alameda, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Monterey, San Benito, San Francisco and San Luis Obispo Counties.

As soon as the Adoption Assistance Agreement is signed we can provide Adoption Wraparound, at no cost to your agency, and with no impact on your PAARP claim. Our Wraparound is designed to assist the family to develop parenting skills and styles that will enhance attachment to the full extent of the child's capacity, and to address behaviors of the child that have protected them from the risks of attachment in the past. The program brings a wealth of resources and information that benefit the child and the parents, and addresses the needs of everyone in the family in a respectful and strength-based manner.

Initial referrals can be made by the private agency, although a formal one has to come from the AAP County. We will assist in that process and provide the necessary paperwork and procedure. The program is especially helpful for children of any age with a history of placement disruption, behavioral challenges, depression, school performance, or early trauma. It also recommended for single or two parent families with no previous parenting experience, and relative adopters.

The primary goal, and the reason to consider referral, is the elimination of the risk of an adoption disruption in the near or longer term future. To discuss a referral please call Kinship Center's™ regional offices or email the Program Director:
